Plantilla - Izdelava predloge za kitaro - Creating a new guitar template

Spodobi se, da si vsak izdelovalec glasbil izdela svojo obliko glasbila. Danes se na spletu lahko kupi veliko dobrih načrtov za kitaro in ker je nekje treba začeti, je tak nakup smiseln in zaželen. Začenjamo in učimo se. Tudi sam sem začel z načrtom kitare Ramirez iz leta 1966. Ta načrt je zelo podroben in zato odličen za izdelovalca - začetnika. Ima vrisanih veliko detajlov, ki jih drugi načrti niti nimajo. Če se izdelava prvih glasbil vsaj približno posreči (običajno trpijo detajli estetike), potem je nagrada velika. Zelo dobro glasbilo. Že v prvem poskusu je lahko akustika opazno boljša od serijskih kitar. Zahvala gre dobremu načrtu in domiselni konstrukciji glasbila. Ko sem poskusil izdelati tudi model Ignacija Flete, sem opazi (na srečo!), da načrt ni dostavljen v merilu. Očitno je prišlo do napake pri kopiranju izvorne verzije. Današnji novejši načrti so dostavljeni bodisi v elektronski verziji ali pa izrisani iz ploterja. Obe varianti sta natančni. Kljub vsemu pa je potrebno preveriti vse mere, da ne pride do popačenja merila kje in napačno izdelanih šablon, kar je vzrok za veliko slabe volje in zapravljenega delovnega časa. Slab načrt me je "prisilil", da sem eksperimentiral in sam izrisal svojo obliko kitare - svojo prvo plantillo - približno maja 2022. Obliko sem risal računalniško s krivuljnikom in dobil rahlo nestandardno a prepoznavno obliko. Dolžina je bila 490 mm (okoli 5 mm večja od Ramireza). Izdelane kitare so prikazane pod naslovom "Novi modeli kitar". Te  kitare so odlične in lepe. S časom sem si zaželel novega eksperimenta. Sedaj že nekajletne izkušnje, so me pripeljale na idejo, da izdelam novo (drugo po vrsti) obliko, dolžine 480 mm po klasični metodi z osmimi (8) krožnicami za izris oblike polovice kitare (risba zgoraj). Torej nekaj manjšo kitaro po dimenzijah v primerjavi z Ramirezom in mojo prvo obliko. Obetam si nekaj akustičnih posebnosti, da ne rečem izboljšav.

Moja prva samostojno izdelana šablona - Plantilla 1

Kako si izdelam šablono za izdelavo kitare? No, najprej je potrebno razčistiti kakšnih dimenzij naj bi bil izdelan inštrument. Dobro je vedeti tudi ali bo menzura na ubiralki 650 mm ali 660 mm ali pa manjša/večja od 650 mm. To predvsem vpliva na pozicijo mostička na zvočni plošči (zvočnici) in s tem povezanimi ojačitvami pod mostičkom. Druga stvar je odločitev o zunanjih dimenzijah krivulj. Ali dolžina trupa 480 mm ali 500 mm ali nekje vmes? Naprimer, da se odločite za dimenzije: Dolžina trupa 484 mm. Merjeno od vratu (12. prečke) navzdol: širina 282 mm na dolžini 98 mm, pas 236 na 192 mm dolžine in spodnja širina 366 mm na 350 mm dolžine. S tem so temeljni gabariti postavljeni. Te dimenzije preselite v nek autocad ali podoben risalni program. Na YouTube z lahkoto najdete film, kako se s šestilom izriše oblika kitare in tej logiki sledite tudi v vašem programu.  A tukaj nastopi nekaj "trikov". Ker morajo biti krožnice (oziroma izseki krožnic) med seboj tangentno(!) staknjene, morajo imeti središča krogov določeno stopnjo (vsaj po eni osi včasih pa po obeh) svobode, da se prilagodijo pogoju medsebojne tangentnosti. A to uspe najlažje, če delate po vrsti, od vratnega dela proti dnu. Vsako naslednjo krožnico lahko tangentno prilagodite prvotno postavljeni.  Središč krožnih izsekov je 8 (od A do H) za polovico oblike kitare. Radiusi krožnic pa določajo, ali bo kitara bolj oglate oblike ali pa bo bolj zaobljena. Z nekaj eksperimentiranja zagotovo pridete do linije, ki ustreza vašim željam. Kasnejšega premikanja središč krogov vam program ne bo dopuščal, saj so krožnice medsebojno ujete z omejitvijo tangentnosti. Torej je potrebno vsako spremembo oblike ali dimenzij, risati znova od začetka. Verzij se nabere, a rezultat z vztrajnostjo pride zagotovo. In dobite svoj(!) model kitare. 

Spodaj - moja druga šablona - Plantilla 2

It behooves that each maker of musical instruments makes their own form of musical instrument. Today, many good guitar plans can be purchased online, and since it is necessary to start somewhere, such a purchase is sensible and desirable. We start and learn. I also started with a 1966 Ramirez guitar blueprint. This plan is very detailed and therefore great for a novice maker. It has a lot of details drawn up that other plans don't even have. If the making of the first instruments is at least approximately lucky (usually the details of the aesthetics suffer), then the reward is great. A very good instrument. Already on the first try, the acoustics can be noticeably better than the stock guitars. Thanks go to the good design and ingenious construction of the instrument. When I also tried to make a model by Ignacio Fleta, I noticed (thankfully!) that the plan was not delivered to scale. Apparently, there was an error copying the original version. Today's newer plans are delivered either in electronic version or drawn from a plotter. Both variants are accurate. Nevertheless, it is necessary to check all measures to avoid distortion of the scale of where and incorrectly made templates, which is the cause of a lot of bad mood and wasted working time. A bad plan "forced" me to experiment and draw my own guitar shape - my first plantilla - around May 2022. I drew the shape by computer with a curve and got a slightly non-standard but recognizable shape. The length was 490 mm (about 5 mm larger than Ramirez). The guitars produced are shown under the heading "New Guitar Models". These guitars are great and beautiful. With time, I wished for a new experiment. Now a few years of experience, led me to the idea of making a new (second in a row) shape, 480 mm long according to the classic method with eight (8) circles to draw the shape of half a guitar. So a slightly smaller guitar in terms of dimensions compared to the Ramirez and my first form. I promise myself some acoustic peculiarities, not to say improvements.

How do I make a stencil to make a guitar? Well, first of all, it is necessary to clarify what dimensions the instrument is supposed to be made. It is also good to know whether the scale on the pick-up will be 650 mm or 660 mm or smaller/larger than 650 mm. This mainly affects the position of the bridge on the sound board and the associated reinforcements under the bridge. Another thing is to decide on the external dimensions of the curves (apex). Is the hull length 480 mm or 500 mm or somewhere in between? It's easy to find a movie on YouTube of how the shape of a guitar is drawn with a six ruler, and you can follow that logic in your program (autocad) as well.  But here are some "tricks". Since the circles (or segments of the circles) must be tangentially (!) aligned with each other, the centers of the circles must have a certain degree (at least on one axis, and sometimes on both) to adapt to the condition of mutual tangentity. But this is done most easily if you work in a row, from the neck section to the bottom. Each subsequent plate can be tangently adjusted to the originally placed one.  There are 8 centers of circular slices (from A to H) for half the shape of the guitar. The radii of the circles, however, determine whether the guitar will be more angular in shape or more rounded. With some experimentation, you're sure to come up with a line that suits your preferences.
